I’m a Cambridge-based photographer with a background in film and visual storytelling.

My work is drawn to subtle emotion — a balance of light, atmosphere, and connection that transforms a moment into an image that pulls you in. I’m fascinated by how elegance and authenticity coexist — how an image can feel both composed and entirely alive.

Life with my two boys has shaped how I see beauty — quiet, genuine, and ever-changing. I’m drawn to human connection, a spark of laughter, and the natural rhythm that unfolds when people feel at ease. Through my work, I aim to capture that same sense of ease and refinement for the people I photograph.

Next: My Approach

Hello, I'm Megan

Beautiful images need room to breathe. Whether it’s an open field, the soft corners of a home, or the pause between moments, I want you to feel unhurried and at ease. Space allows the real connections to surface.

Photography, for me, is about noticing — the play of light, the way fabric moves, the quiet rhythm between people. I’m drawn to what feels natural and unforced; the pauses, gestures, and small details that make you linger on an image.

Guided by presence, intention, reverie, and flow, my work invites a slower way of seeing — where every element has purpose. I believe an intentional atmosphere allows emotion to take centre stage; when tones, textures, and light align, nothing distracts from what’s real.

These ideas take shape through presence, atmosphere, tactility, and breath — the sensory language that grounds each frame in something both honest and dreamlike.

At the heart of every photograph is the way you exist with the people you love. It might be a glance, a quiet touch, or laughter shared between breaths. I look for these subtle moments — where presence takes over.

Light shapes mood — softening edges & warming what it touches. I mostly seek gentle, natural light: the low glow of evening or the quiet calm of an overcast day. It creates atmosphere that flatters without distraction and carries quiet emotion.

The textures around us — a flowing dress, long grass, linen on a picnic rug, the curl of a child’s hair in the breeze — add richness and depth to a photograph. I look for materials that catch light and add quiet dimension.
